Finding your calling is a difficult task. It is an ever-evolving process that you will spend your entire life working on. You will find bits and pieces along the way, but the full Calling cannot be discovered until after this life.
This is because only after this life will you realize how all of the pieces you found along the way fit together to make your Calling. Only then will you realize how all of the work you did was part of this Calling.
This is because only in the afterlife do we become truly conscious. In this state, we are able to think freely and move freely. We can finally put all of our learned skills to use!
While in this consciousness, we can also see into other worlds. There may be things that you need to do in order to enter into heaven, but one thing that won’t help you is having a Calling.
The person you become is not determined by your upbringing
Your family, the community you grow up in, and the financial situation you experience in childhood all have a huge impact on who you become as an adult.
However, your personality, strengths, weaknesses, goals, and dreams are not determined by these things.
Many people who grew up in unstable homes with poor parental role models become successful adults with good parenting skills. Many people from stable homes with good parental role models develop weak personalities and lose their strength as adults.
Your personality is shaped by your experiences as a child, but it is not determined by them. You have control over who you become! You can decide to be someone who has strong traits or someone who has weak traits. The choice is up to you.
The person you become is not determined by your genes
Your life is determined by the choices you make. Your choices are determined by your thoughts, your thoughts are influenced by experience, emotion, and experience.
Your experience is influenced by the people you surround yourself with, the things you read and hear, the things you spend your time doing and where you spend your time.
The more people you interact with the more opportunities there are to learn from each other and grow together. The more places you go to learn new things, the richer your life will be.
The less negative people in your life will make it better. The more you read and listen to new things, the more knowledge you will gain. The more places you visit will make your life richer.
None of these things cost money but they can change your life for the better.
The person you become is not determined by the circumstances
You may feel that the circumstances of your life, the people in your life, or your own personality or character have determined your success so far, but they haven’t.
The person you become is determined by the choices you make. Your past doesn’t determine your choices, nor do your current circumstances.
Your choices determine who you become. Even in situations where it may feel like you have no control over your choices, you really do. You just have to be aware of that fact.
The most powerful choice you can make is the choice to be aware. To be aware of what is going on around you and what is going on inside of you. To be aware of what choices are available to you and what the consequences of each choice are.
The person you become is determined by what you do with your life
“The only person you are destined to become is the person you decide to be,” Ralph Waldo Emerson famously said.
He was talking about the fact that our destiny is predetermined by our actions — by what we do with our lives.
As we’ll see, this idea has deep religious roots, but it can be applied to anyone who lives a life of purpose.
Destiny is a popular word these days, and it’s often used loosely. We talk about “destiny” when something good happens to us, as if something or someone else made it happen. Or we talk about “the destiny of our country” as if there’s some pre-ordained fate that we all have to follow. But neither of those things are true.
Your destiny is not predetermined by anything or anyone except you — your actions and decisions determine your destiny.
Become the best version of yourself
“Become the best version of yourself” might sound like a cliché, but it’s true. You can’t be someone else, but you can grow into the best person you can be.
This is another way of saying you can’t change the past, but you can change the way you respond to events in the past.
You are constantly changing and evolving, and that’s a good thing. The more aware you are of this fact, the better off you will be.
The most important thing is to recognize these changes when they happen and respond to them in a positive way.
For instance, if you respond poorly to a situation or event, you’re only making things worse. You have to take a step back and evaluate how to best handle something.
It might sound simple, but it’s hard to do when you’re in the middle of something.
You are in control of your life
The decisions you make today determine your future. Your past doesn’t control your present or future, but you do control your present and future.
You are the architect of your life and no one else. You are the best person to hold the blueprint in your hands and design the life you want to live. No one else can design the life you want to live except for you.
You are the best person to take action on what needs to be done to design your life as well. No one can take action in your place, only you can decide to take action.
You have the power to decide who you want to be, no one else has that power except for you. You are the only person that can decide who you will become in the future.
Take responsibility for your life
The first step in changing your life is taking responsibility for your life. This means accepting that youre the one choosing how you behave, how you approach situations, and how you approach people.
No one can make you feel a certain way or do something unless you allow them to. Youre in control of yourself and your own behavior.
When you can accept that fact, then you can start changing things about yourself that you dont like. You can even change your personality if you want to.
For example, if you are very shy and feel like only negative things come out of your mouth when you talk, then start thinking before you speak.
While it may seem simple, it takes a lot of willpower to do this, which is why it is important to learn how to do it.
Whether its practicing mindful breathing before answering a question or thinking about what kind of response you want to give, there are ways to be more mindful and aware.
Live a meaningful life
In the end, what matters most is not what you have or who you are, but rather what you do with what you have and who you are. Your life will be characterized by your actions—how you handle money, confront challenges, and interact with others.
Your actions shape your character and determine your legacy. How will you be remembered? What kind of world do you want to leave behind? These are questions that must be asked and answered in order to live a meaningful life.
By constantly questioning yourself and your actions, by constantly striving to be better than you were yesterday, you can avoid becoming stagnant or falling into a rut that leaves you unfulfilled. You have the power to change this about yourself. You have the power to make these changes today—right now—and start living a more meaningful life.
