A large part of what makes a person or group of people high in the socioeconomic status die-off is because people are no longer being forced to adhere to their former standards of living.
Modernity has a way of moving forward, while society and its elite continue to evolve and advance. This is why we see so many new cars being sold, new houses being built, and new businesses starting up every few years.
